We had designed and constructed an electric bicycle by minor modified from a folding bicycle. The bicycle we had constructed cans still using alternated power (man and electric). In this project we used a transmission kit consist of an electric DC motor 24 volts 250 watts ,low speed transmission gear, 24 volts Ni-MH type battery, a transmission and control set that can control 2 speed levels. We found that the bicycle we had constructed can be used in a real world and has maximum speed in a plane road around 20 km/h with a maximum average acceleration 0.31 m/s² and has a maximum traveling distance around 21 km per one fully battery charged.
