Single drop microextraction (SDME) coupled with gas chromatography-flame ionization detector (GC-FID) was developed for analysis of benzene, toluene and xylene contaminated in softdrink. The optimization of GC-FID and extraction efficiency were studied including type of organic solvent, organic solvent volume, phase ratio, stirring rate and extraction time. Method validations and precision of the method were evaluated. At the optimum conditions, detection limits was 0.20–0.80 μgL−1 and linear dynamic range was 0.01-100.00 mgL−1 with %RSD less than 10.
