Corn cobs, which are the agricultural and industrial wastes, are utilized as adsorber for adsorbing heavy metals in wastewater. The sample solutions were determined by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry for evaluation of heavy metal adsorption efficiency. The calibration method was used to calculate the concentrations of heavy metals by AAS method. The adsorption efficiency were compared to different concentrations of copper. When the concentration of copper was increased, the adsorption efficiency of lead, copper, cadmium, zinc, nickel and manganese were decreased.
