Barium Titanium Oxalate was synthesized by reacting Oxalic acid with Titanium(4)oxy sulfate hydrate followed by concentrated Ammonium hydroxide solution and BariumhydroxideThe product was further tested for the Photocatalytic activity in degrading dye solution inthepresence of UV light . Dye solution was methylene blue with concentrations in the range 0.025-0.065 mM Methylene blue solution was decolorized best at concentration 0.025 mM. The decolorization, However, took place by adsorption on the particle surface not by the photocatalytic process.
