A soliton is a solution of a nonlinear partial differential equation and exists as a localized travelling wave. The stability with respect to transverse perturbations of ion-acoustic solitons in a weak magnetic field is examined numerically. It is found that plane soliton are stable if the magnetic field is very weak or if the wavelength of the perturbation is small enough.
