The crude methanol extract from the twigs of Bouea oppositifolia, upon chromatographic separation, afforded nine pure compounds: four known compounds, astilbin, gallic acid methyl ester,epicatechin and fustin and seven compounds being determined. The structures of all compounds were determined by analysis of 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopic data and comparison of the 1H and 13C NMR data with those of reported compounds
